Professor Li’s Google citations and publications
Professor Li received her B.S. from Tsinghua University in China, and her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Professor Li’s research interests include advanced technologies for water and wastewater treatment, membrane processes, colloidal processes and interface phenomena in aqueous environments, environmental applications and implications of nanotechnology. Ongoing research projects investigate fouling of membrane materials during surface water filtration, seawater desalination, and wastewater reuse, nanotechnology-enabled drinking water disinfection and surface microbial control, the environmental fate, transport and ecotoxicity of engineered nanomaterials, and sustainable water infrastructure. Dr. Li’s research group is devoted to finding a solution to the sustainable water supply.
Professor Li has received a lot of rewards in recognition of her research and teaching. She received the 1st Place in the Tech Idol Competition from American Water Summit, Super Reviewer Award from Environmental Science & Technology and Roy E. Campbell Faculty Development Award.
